I have written the first chapter of my dissertation (see research below) and I am currently looking to transition to a full-time position pertaining to economic research or data science.

Education
I am a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Michigan, having achieved all but dissertation. I began my Ph.D. in 2020 and have specialized in international trade, economic geography, and development economics. I obtained a Master's degree from the University of Michigan in 2022 after having completed the course requirements.
My undergraduate education was at the University of Alabama, where I earned a Bachelor's in economics and mathematics. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I also completed a Master's in economics with a specialization in applied economics. I have also taken graduate math courses in real analysis and measure theory at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Work and Teaching Experience
After graduating from the University of Alabama, I worked as a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for two years. During my time at the Federal Reserve I worked for a team of economists on the research pertaining to economic geography. I became highly proficient in the creation of reproducible research, automating econometric and theoretical models, and producing publication-quality data visualizations.
At the University of Michigan I have served as a Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) and have taught courses in Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Industrial Organization. As a GSI, I prepared and delivered teaching material for weekly discussion sections with upwards of 30 students, held office hours and tutoring sessions, created exams, and graded assignments.
Skills
Coding: I am highly proficient at coding in R, Stata, and Matlab. I have substantial experience using GIS data and software.
Modeling: I have Ph.D. level training in statistics, econometrics, and theoretical economics. A large portion of my training and experience has been bringing models from paper to the computer to produce empirical results of the theoretical models.
