Mikayla was born on September 22 of 2001, in Mobile, Alabama. She has lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and Flomton, Alabama before calling Warner Robins, Georgia home for the past eleven years. Mikayla has always loved to read and draw, and continues those hobbies today. She grew up in church, as any good southern girl would and always loved singing for Jesus.

The Pierce Family has always had God at its center. Mikayla dearly loves her younger sisters, Sarah and Kirsten, and hopes to be a good example to them on following God's will. With a teacher mom and youth pastor dad, Mikayla owes most of her learning to her parents, Emily and David who have been her greatest example of faith.

Having just graduated Houston County High School, Mikayla has been spending her summer preparing for her trip and spending time with family. She spent her high school years as an honors student and a member of the marching band and plans to attend college after her trip. She is a part of her church worship team and has been a part of a discipleship training to better prepare herself to share God's word in Honduras.
