Thesis Title: Transfer of Vertically-aligned Silicon Nanowires Array Fabricated using Metal-assisted Chemical Etching

Developed one-step MACE on Si (porous Si) substrate to fabricate longer-length crystalline SiNWs array (core-shell porous SiNWs array) for Solar cell (Lithium-ion Battery) applications
Transferred SiNWs array using electro-assisted technique and gluing technique

Thesis Title: Fabrication and Characterization of Silicon Quantum Dots by Sputtering Method
Major points of the thesis:
Simulation by SRIM software shows an optimized 10 keV energy of argon-ion is required to sputter out the required materials from the target materials (Si, SiO2, Si3N4, and SiC)
Fabricated silicon quantum dots (size 3-5 nm) on Si substrate by RF sputtering followed by annealing

I assisted in
Setting up a mini wet bench (made up of wooden & glass cover, exhaust pipe & fan) to carry out the PSi fabrication
Procurement of intrinsic Si target (99.9% purity, 3-inch diameter, and 3 mm thickness with copper backing plate) for RF sputtering system
I helped my M.Tech. colleagues in the fabrication, characterization, and analysis of PSi and PSiNWs array samples.
