Gabriel Mihalache

My name is Gabriel. I study topics in International Macroeconomics. My work to date focuses on the dynamics of debt maturity, especially during the recent crisis in the European periphery. In a recent project, we study the role of default risk for sectoral reallocation and the amplification and persistence of recessions. Beyond sovereign debt and default, I am interested in financial frictions more broadly.
