Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Migraine handles information when you use the app. Migraine is an informational wellness and personal tracking tool, not a medical service or medical device.
1. Summary
Migraine is designed to work primarily on your device.
Your migraine logs are intended for your personal use and are not sold by us.
The app may use location permission only to calculate local weather-related migraine context when you enable it.
The app may use third-party services, including Apple Weather and the App Store, which process information under their own policies.
We do not use the app for advertising tracking.
2. Information You Provide or Generate
Depending on how you use the app, information may include:
Migraine logs, such as date, time, duration, intensity, selected tags, notes if available, and related weather context.
App settings, such as notification preferences, pressure units, selected weather location, and onboarding choices.
Location-related information, if you enable location permission, used to request local weather data.
Purchase or subscription status handled through Apple if paid features are offered.
Migraine logs and related health-like information may be considered sensitive or health-related information in some jurisdictions. You should use the app only if you are comfortable storing this information on your device.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Show weather-related migraine risk context and pressure trends.
Let you create, view, and manage personal migraine logs.
Schedule local notifications if you enable them.
Remember your preferences and selected location settings.
Provide paid features, restore purchases, and comply with App Store purchase flows if subscriptions are offered.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app where permitted by law.
4. Local Storage
The app is intended to store migraine logs and settings locally on your device. We do not operate a user account system for the app, and we do not intentionally collect your migraine logs on our own server unless a future version clearly tells you otherwise and obtains any required consent.
If you delete the app, local app data may be deleted from your device, subject to iOS behavior, backups, and any device-level settings you use.
5. Location and Weather Data
If you allow location access, the app may use your device location to request local weather data. If you choose a manual location, the app may use that selected location instead. Location is used to provide weather-related migraine context and is not used by us for advertising tracking.
Weather data may be provided by third-party services, including Apple Weather. Those providers may process weather request information according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their processing.
6. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app may schedule local notifications for migraine risk alerts or reminders. Notification delivery depends on iOS and your device settings. You can disable notifications in the app or in iOS settings.
7. Third-Party Services
The app may interact with third-party services to provide core functionality. These may include:
Apple Weather or other Apple services for weather data and device permissions.
Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases, subscriptions, receipts, refunds, and subscription management.
Google-hosted documents or pages for legal information shown through WebView links.
Apple crash, diagnostics, or App Store reporting tools if Apple provides aggregated or device-level reports to developers under Apple's policies.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
8. Sharing and Sale of Data
We do not sell your migraine logs. We do not use the app for cross-app advertising tracking. We may share information only where needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect rights and safety, process App Store transactions, or use third-party services described in this Policy.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it in the app if deletion controls are available, reset app data, or delete the app, subject to iOS backups and device-level behavior. Because we do not operate an account system for migraine logs, we may not be able to access or delete local data on your behalf.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for an app of this type, but no app, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, backups, Apple ID, and any screenshots or exports you choose to create.
11. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 or to anyone under the minimum age required by local law to use the app without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us through the support channel listed below.
12. International Users
Privacy rights vary by location. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. Because migraine logs are intended to be stored locally on your device, many requests can be handled by managing or deleting the data on your device.
13. Health Privacy Note
We are not a health care provider, health plan, or health care clearinghouse, and the app is not provided on behalf of one unless we separately say so. Laws that apply to clinical medical records may not apply to this app. Other privacy, consumer protection, or health-data laws may still apply depending on your location and how the app is used.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by updating the effective date or presenting notice in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means the updated Policy applies.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the support channel provided in the App Store listing or any in-app support option that we make available.
