Yes range value in AB will be very soon the solution, already there in AUM, and Midifire allows for CC ramp up/down, round robin and much more... perhaps it's even possible to use it to modify what those right buttons are able to do.

Also, a guy on Amazon had difficulties to midi learn it, saying there was no CC off, but I suppose he was just using toggle feature.

Is there any reason you haven't tried a Line 6 FBV mkII shortboard? Seems like it would be the perfect fit for your rig. There hasn't been a piece of midi gear I haven't been able to make it work with. I use mine with 3 different apps of varying message needs. Swiss Army Knife of midi pedal boards IMO.

Let me know how you get along with the Softstep. I used both the 1 and the 2 for several years and am a big fan of many of KMI's products. I loved the control capabilities with the SS (though it's way easier to program from a Mac and I was more Windows at the time), but always found the button layout a little close, and the flat profile made it hard to tap the second row properly. I eventually mounted it on a frame at about a 15-20deg angle, and that's when it worked best for me. But I always had the FBV sitting around from a previous Line6 rack unit, and once I tried it as a midi controller with the iPad, it seemed to cover the ground of 2-3 of the other controllers I was using, so I ended up with a smaller form factor in the end.

Surprised no one has mentioned this on the forums.Looks like a very compact midi controller for the Kemper. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and more specificially can it be configured to display the kemper tuner.

I've seen a review from gear gods of this Midi commander and it says the mission EP1 KP doesn't work well passing through midi commander ,a matter of calibration ,the movement of the pedal is not well midi transmitted by the midi commander as i understood .

One other thing ,do the footswitches work like the ones on the kemper remote for the morphing :so 1 click on the same rig gives the morphed or unmorphed sound (footswitch control way and not exp pedal ).Do that work with the midi commander ?

Just got a midi commander. Is there a way to make the banks go up past bank 24? I have 60+ songs programmed in via Performance mode and it just seems to go back to bank 1 after 24. Grrrrr that's not cool.

Yeah, it's a shame that this midi footswitch wasn't as useful as I initially thought it would be. It also seems to do nothing in browser mode and you can't even go up and down patches. I watched all the youtube vids out there demoing this unit and no one mentioned these short comings. Guess I'll have to return my unit as well.

If I set up the 5 buttons at the bottom to access the 5 slots in the currently selected performance using codes #50-54, can I simply change performances via the Kemper itself and these 5 buttons will then let me select a performance slot - without the need for me to have banks on the midi pedal? I'm happy to change performances with the Kemper rig buttons. If I press the same foot switch a second time, will it morph? I'm thinking about setting it up to give me 5 stomps B, C, D, Mod, Delay, and 5 Performance slots.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a separate monitor that does see the midi commands. However, Midi Monitor in MG does not see any commands. The device is recognized in MG, I have tested with both channel 2 (the channel Midi Commander is now set to) and Any/Omni.

I have also tested all available Host modes as suggested.

I would however advise against the Source Audio Soleman, as it is expensive and more tailored for the use with TRS-midi pedals. It should work with the MOD, but for that money you can get a much better and flexible unit.

A resumee of the CT-S1 GM midi stuff and a MidiCommander setup file is included in the attached zip-file (if someone tells me which category to use for CT-1s I can also upload it to the download section)

This is great! You even included a manual on how to set it up. Unfortunately it does not work with Bluetooth, but wired up it works great! I've had MIDI commander installed on my phone for ages and have been meaning to figure out what it might be capable of with the CT-S1. Thank you for sharing!

Button type can be set toPush,On-Off orStep and each button can have a different name and/or color. All midi commands and button settings are groupedin asong and the main window allows to switch songs.

This allows to have a completely different behaviour per song in a gig. Buttons can also be triggered from a little statusmenu, which is always visible and from received midi input commands, which makes TinyMidiCommander act as a midi translator.Midi is received from all active midi sources.

The button name, color, type and midi input trigger command can be set per song. The button shortcut key can be set but willbe the same for all songs. Modifier keys (exceptShift) are not supported.

TinyMidiCommander presents itself also as a midi source endpoint to which other midi devices or apps can connect to. A checkboxcontrols if midi commands are sent from the TinyMidiCommander source endpoint.

A convenience midi commandAll Notes Off is included in the command popup (which is sent as a CC 123). Also remember thatNote On with velocity 0 is the same asNote Off.

Midi Commander lets you send MIDI message through a usb-connected MIDI interface.Define the MIDI messages (control change, program change) associated with each button, and use them to change patches and control a midi keyboard or similar midi equipment. After setting the EDIT switch to ON, use long click on a button to change its values and the transmitted values. Other functions can be accessed via menu'.The latest version of Midi Commander (in .apk format) is also available here (in case you experience server problems in downloading it from the Play Store): -latest.apkFor further help, you can also access the app web page: NOTE: the Android device MUST BE CAPABLE of acting as USB-HOST.
