MECI shares digital information among its owners and tenants via Google Drive. This is an industry standard file sharing and document collaboration platform that allows confirmation of one's identity to maintain community privacy for internal information. Unlike individual e-mail messages and attachments, this platform allows our community more robust and sustainable on-demand access to both current and historical community information.

The majority of owners and tenants (>⅔) already have an e-mail account that is either a Google Gmail account or is a non-Gmail account preconfigured for Google Drive access (typically via a school or workplace). In these cases, nothing else typically needs to be done to access community information.

However, a minority of our owners and tenants (<⅓) may not have one of these types of e-mail accounts. In these cases, please follow these additional instructions to allow access to the full set of community information with your non-Google e-mail account, in case you have not already done so. One generally needs only to (a) provide a first name, (b) set a password, and (c) confirm their e-mail address with a verification code. (Note that in some cases a phone number may now be needed, but this is primarily to help prevent abuse and fraud at the time of account creation.)

Lastly, please remember that we want to empower owners and tenants to be able to access community information and to be informed partners in stewarding our community, but we also expect information to remain private that has not been explicitly shared publicly.
