1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the Mida Sakinləri mobile application on Android or iOS. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team operating the Mida Sakinləri mobile service.
The app provides access to residents’ services through embedded web pages and includes a native notification inbox. This policy covers the app’s native features and your interactions with pages displayed inside the app. It is not a separate privacy policy for general browsing outside the mobile application.
You do not need to create a personal account or allow push notifications to browse the public directory and announcements.
2. Information processed through the app
Information you choose to provide
If you use a form, listing submission, feedback feature, or support chat inside the app, we may receive the information you submit. Depending on the feature, this can include your name, phone number, email address, address or service area, message, listing details, ratings, votes, and photos or videos you select and send.
Submitting this information is optional unless it is necessary for the particular feature you choose to use. Only share information you are entitled to disclose. Contact or listing information submitted for public publication may become visible to other users after approval.
Push notification identifiers
The app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Firebase Installations. On iOS, notification delivery also uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
These services process app installation identifiers, push registration information, and technical app and operating system information to register the app and deliver notifications. Their infrastructure may also process IP addresses and related connection information. Your name, phone number, and email address are not required simply to receive push notifications.
Technical and interaction information
Requests made by the app and its embedded pages may generate technical records, including IP addresses, request times, requested pages, and browser or device information. Embedded features may use session identifiers and hashed IP-derived identifiers for security, spam prevention, and limiting duplicate ratings or votes.
Interactions such as opening a directory entry, tapping a call or WhatsApp link, or sharing a listing may be recorded for service statistics. This does not provide us with the contents of your telephone calls or WhatsApp conversations.
Information stored on your device
The app stores a local notification history, read/unread status, and notification preferences. Read status is used to update your inbox and unread badge; the app does not send a separate per-user read-status report to the administration panel.
Embedded pages may use cookies and local storage to maintain sessions, support conversations, submission access codes, and functional preferences.
Optional location and media features
Where an embedded map or route feature is supported and you grant the required device or browser permission, your location may be used to show your position or calculate a route. Route providers may receive the starting and destination coordinates needed to answer your request.
Photos and videos are uploaded only when you select and submit them through a supported feature. Selecting a file does not give us access to your entire photo library. Any supported camera-based map view requires the applicable permission; opening that view does not automatically upload its live camera feed as a submission.
The mobile app does not request permission to read your personal address book, SMS messages, or call history.
3. How information is used
We use information to:
- Provide the app’s directory, announcements, embedded services, support, and submission features.
- Review submissions, publish approved listings, and respond to requests.
- Deliver notifications when you allow them.
- Display notification history and unread counts.
- Maintain functionality, investigate problems, and prevent spam, duplicate voting, and misuse.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and protect legitimate rights.
Depending on the feature and applicable law, processing may be based on your consent, your request to use a service, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or legal obligations. This policy does not replace a device permission prompt or any separate consent required by law.
4. Service providers and sharing
Information may be accessed by authorized administrators and service providers where necessary to operate the app:
- Google Firebase: app installation registration and push notification delivery. See https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple: iOS notification delivery and operating system services. See https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: processing app content requests, submitted information, uploaded files, and technical records. The embedded service uses infrastructure provided through Poyraz Hosting.
- Map and routing providers: depending on the feature and selected map layer, OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Esri, and OSRM-based services may process map requests, connection information, and requested route coordinates.
- Content delivery providers: loading fonts, icons, map resources, and other embedded content may transmit your IP address and technical request information to the relevant provider.
We do not sell personal information. Information you submit for public directory entries or listings may be publicly displayed, as described above. We may disclose necessary information when required by law or to investigate misuse and protect rights.
Service providers may process information outside Azerbaijan, in countries where they operate or maintain infrastructure. Their applicable privacy and data processing terms also govern their services.
When you follow a phone, WhatsApp, email, or social media link into another app or service, that service’s privacy practices apply to your subsequent interactions.
5. Notification permissions and your choices
The app may request notification permission when first opened. You can decline and continue using the public content and notification inbox.
You can turn off push subscriptions from the menu in the app’s notification section. You can also change notification permissions in your device’s Android or iOS settings. Turning off push does not automatically delete information submitted through embedded forms or identifiers held by service providers.
The mobile app does not have Google Analytics or Crashlytics integration enabled. Technical records and functional interaction statistics described in this policy may still be processed.
You can manage supported location and camera permissions through the relevant device or browser settings.
6. Data retention
Local notification history, read status, and preferences remain in app storage until removed or cleared. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app can remove this local information, subject to your operating system’s backup and restore behavior.
Submitted listings, support messages, files, and technical records are retained for as long as needed to provide the requested service, manage submissions, maintain security, and meet applicable legal obligations. A single automatic deletion period is not currently applied to all categories.
Google and Apple retain technical information under their respective service terms. Firebase states that FCM installation identifiers may be retained until an API request is made to delete them; after that request, removal from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days. Turning off push in the app is not the same as making that deletion API request.
Limited information may need to remain after a deletion request for legal obligations, security, or existing backup cycles. Where retention is necessary, we will explain the applicable reason and retention period in our response.
7. Access, correction, and deletion requests

Please identify the information concerned, such as the relevant listing, contact entry, message, or submission reference. Include enough information to help us locate it. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or a full copy of an identity document.
We may ask for proportionate information to verify that you are the person concerned or are authorized to act for them. We will respond with the outcome and explain any information that must be retained for a legitimate legal reason.
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete information already submitted to the service. We cannot directly control copies of previously public listings held by search engines or other third parties.
8. Security
The app uses HTTPS for communication with its service. Access restrictions, request validation, and anti-abuse measures are used to help protect information. Access should be limited to what is necessary to operate the service.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should also protect your device and any codes used to access your support conversations or submissions.
9. Children’s privacy
The app is not specifically designed for children. We do not intend to collect unnecessary personal information about children. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child’s information has been submitted may contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its information practices change. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. Where separate notice or renewed consent is required, an appropriate method will be used.
