In this session, you will hear stories about women pursuing or working in diverse areas related to mathematical and statistical sciences. Our speakers work in different sectors (academia, industry, non-profit). Some topics for discussion are:

• Summary of their journey, why they chose their respective careers, and how they got started

• What challenges and barriers have they faced along the way, and how have they overcome them

• How they’ve built support networks, found mentorship, and overcome challenges

• Advice for women and underrepresented students pursuing careers in the mathematical and statistical sciences
