"Supporting all students during important educational transitions!"
Goal:
The Mid-American Math Alliance region aims to address the critical transition stages of undergraduate students within the mathematical and statistical sciences degrees.
Target Population:
Undergraduate students interested in advanced studies in the mathematical and statistical sciences. While our region concentrates on institutions from the Midwest region, students from other regions are all welcome to participate in our events.
Expectations:
Provide feedback on what students need to do to be prepared for graduate school (for instance: if they need to participate in REUs, or take particular classes)
Get information about what to do with a math degree
A broad overview of what mathematicians and statisticians do
Guide them through the decision-making process regarding graduate programs and career options
Mission:
We aspire to leave a lasting impact on the academic, social, and professional landscapes, advocating for diversity, inclusivity, and knowledge dissemination within the broader community.
