Multifunctional Integrated Construction Materials Lab

Multifunctional Integrated Construction Materials (MICM) Laboratory at Kyungpook National University (Director: Prof. Geuntae Hong) provides an ideal environment for designing, characterizing, and developing future-oriented construction materials that contribute to sustainable and safe civil infrastructure. 

Our research focuses on the development and application of innovative and sustainable EcoSmart civil engineering materials. 

Current research topics include: 

• Development of multifunctional and smart cementitious materials 

• Sustainable cementitious materials incorporating industrial by-products and alternative materials 

• Development of cement-based materials with CO₂ capture and sequestration capabilities
