Kathy Anderson obtained a degree in math/secondary education at Northern Michigan University and taught 3 years at the secondary level (grades 6-12) before obtaining a master's in Applied Mathematics at Michigan State University. During her 40-year career, she taught at Lansing Community College, Mid Michigan Community College, and Schoolcraft College. Areas of emphasis were developmental mathematics, business mathematics (MATH 101), math for liberal arts majors (MATH 111), and statistics (MATH 122). She co-developed a co-requisite support course (MATH 022) for students at risk of failing statistics, and taught multiple sections of the MATH 122/022 during her last 4 years at Schoolcraft.
