The creations of this exhibition are like recording and reviewing the journey that I had gone through in the past two years. I chose "Footprints" to be the theme and created a series of artworks which included different types of footprints, lag, shoes, tire tracks, or hand. As the old saying goes, "Travelling brings about far greater benefit than mere book learning." In 2015, I left my hometown and came to the United States to study and seek a broader perspective and life. Thus, I want to use my artworks to express what I see, learn, enjoy, and experience during this time.
Sometimes, many emotions and feelings are not easy to express in a few words. Through making artworks and using different art materials, I felt it was easier for me to release myself and create a connection between my mind and the real world. Each of artworks that I created all had much deeper meanings behind those realistic pictures. During the past two years, I made many new friends, learned a lot of new things, traveled many different places, saw many magnificent views, and also broke through many setbacks and difficulties. While I created these artworks, I became proud of myself and what I had been through so far. Therefore, I would like to share my accomplishment, feelings, and experiences through my paintings and different types of artwork to every people.
"The footprint in the sand shows where you have been," as the saying goes. Thence, I left the mark for my American life in the way of painting.
