Why Michelle Fahy for Kyrene Governing Board?

I am currently in my fourth year on the Kyrene School Board and am dedicated to Kyrene and public education. I care about the future of our community and our Kyrene students.

I am starting my 36th year as an educator, with 19 years in Kyrene and I currently work in the Tempe Union High School District as their Instructional Technology Coordinator. I was a special education teacher for 13 years, a general education English teacher for 3 years, an Ed Tech Trainer in Kyrene for 13 years, and the Instructional Technology Coordinator for 5 years.

I believe that it is important for school district Governing Boards to have a balance of skills, background, and points of view. With my extensive experience in education, I bring a unique set of knowledge and skills to help move the Kyrene District forward in a positive and supportive way.

To learn a little bit more about me and why I am running, please read my 2020 Candidate Statement.

911 - this is NOT an Emergency!

I am very proud to share that I turned in 911 signatures on July 2, 2020 so I will officially be on the November ballot. Thank you to all those who helped me with collecting -- trying to do this during a pandemic was challenging and I could not have done it without the support of so many people!

I hope to continue as your Kyrene Governing Board member for a second term. Please donate to my campaign. Thank you!
