Michael Poke

I am a secondary school teacher in Melbourne's outer western suburbs, in Victoria, Australia. 

I taught in the public sector from 2002 to 2022 and now I work in an independent Christian school, still in Melbourne's outer west. My main subject areas are Media Studies, Digital Technologies and Humanities.

I enjoy working with teens and I have a passion for effective implementation of digital technology in education.

I have worked as a Digital Learning Consultant and eLearning leader at previous schools, working alongside teachers to build their capacity to effectively use digital technology to enhance, improve and streamline their teaching and learning processes. I still do this in my current context in a more informal capacity.

My YouTube channel has a wide range of useful instructional and demonstration videos aimed at both students and teachers. 

In 2015 I achieved my Level 1 Google Certified Educator certificate. 

Although I now work at a Microsoft school, I have thoroughly enjoyed training teachers in how to effectively use all aspects of Google Workspace to improve both their personal productivity and professional pedagogy.
