Michael Ferro Chicago

Michael Ferro is a Chicago based artist, designer and collector of local artwork. At the helm of Michael Ferro Art & Design, he developed architectural designs for private and public buildings.

Among family and friends, Michael Ferro is known as the go-to art historian.  Those family and friends are the local art community in Chicago: from artists and creatives to collectors and curators alike!  Over the years, Ferro has shared his collection for educational purposes and art exhibitions around the world — and throughout the City of Chicago!  In Chi-Town, the artist and designer has hosted numerous exhibitions at cultural events and museums in the area.  Featuring the creations and artwork of small and rising artists is a treat for Ferro.

Michael Ferro Chicago Art Collector

Shining the spotlight on the undiscovered talent of his colorful city is something that the collector and curator is truly passionate about.  Always available for collaboration, he has offered his expertise on planning and hosting exhibitions and art events on a freelance consultant basis in the past.  Ferro also regularly attends and participates in events hosted by fellow artists and creatives in the midwest.  Although he is particularly passionate about collecting architectural designs and historical art pieces, Ferro also enjoys putting together exhibits with completely new pieces.

Michael Ferro Chicago Art Museums

A Chi-Town native, Michael Ferro’s favorite art museums are all located in Chicago.  Over the years, he has even participated in the planning and launch of pop-up style museums: or temporary art museums that operate for a short period of time and then travel elsewhere.  Earlier in his career, Ferro would host his own exhibitions featuring designs he had created for architecture in and around the midwest region.  Now the retired artist and designer is more focused on featuring the work of fellow creatives in the local scene.  He has volunteered at and attended art and cultural events at museums throughout the city.  His favorite museums in Chicago are the Norman Rockwell Museum, National Museum of Mexican Art and Adler Planetarium.
