Overall Mobile Robot Prototype Design
The aim of this project was to design and prototype a remote-controlled mobile robot that satisfied the requirements of the design problem and performed successfully in competition. For this competition, two robots were placed inside an arena and competed against to time to collect the largest number of balls. The arena was separated into two halves using a wooden structure. The robot had to collect racquetballs, from the ground and pedestals, and foam footballs, from the ground. These racquetballs and footballs then had to be deposited over the wooden structure into the opposing robot's area; the racquetballs could also be placed inside two PVC goals for extra points.
