Being the lead designer on this project, my job was to make sure the game & level designers were keeping up with their work, while helping when it was needed. I also facilitated communication from my team with the other teams on the project so everyone stayed on the same page. It was a really fun and interesting experience as this was my first time being a lead on a very large group.
This project taught me a lot on how to deal with the responsibility of managing and leading a group of people. Moreover, having to be the final say on decisions was big responsibility that I wasn't sure I would be able to do, but ended up performing well.
Though I will say I could have done more for my team, whether it was helping out in engine or making communication smoother cross discipline. There were times during the development process that I felt like I didn't have anything to do as my designers/level designers were given their tasks and working in engine, leaving me with little to do.
