I'm stunned but thrilled. I need call recording for work (and to catch my brother in his stupid lies), so I was bummed when Google discontinued it. I kept ACR on my S9+ and could only use it with the speaker on, which wasn't optimal (especially in public). I just set up my Note 10+ and ACR repopulated through SmartSwitch. I haven't looked at it until now and I assumed the recordings would only have my voice. WRONG! It works perfectly like before and now all is right with the world. Happy Birthday to Me!

Hi, I was SO pleased to see GrapheneOS now includes a call recorder. I can finally get rid of horrible spammy call recorder apps! It took me months, testing over 12 of them, to find one that worked (CubeACR) and it recorded all calls automatically except friends and family. It was great, functionally speaking, but I never liked having it on my phone, but it's essential I record calls.

Graphene's recorder is superior in sound quality, and works via speaker or bluetooth which NO other app I have tried does! It's fantastic. There is one way to make it a smidgen better, that's to record calls automatically. Is there any plan to make this possible at any point?

treequell for some reason mine has the RTT button listed in the 6 icons, so I always have to scroll down to see the call recorder option. Even though RTT is completely disabled, I have no way to make the damn button for it go away.

Call recording still doesn't work for me yet although when I make a call three way the option will show up. Or if I use Cheogram number then the option is displayed. Hopefully with an automatic call record option it will work in the future for all me calls

I have Call Recorder ACR app on my mobile phone. I've linked to Dropbox to store my phone recordings. They appear in Dropbox after each call but I can't get them to play on Windows Media Play although it supposedly supports 3GP and MP4, both of which I've tried. Any suggestions?

Hmm, please keep in mind that in Germany and probably in most european countries it is illegal to record a call. Exceptions are companies which tell you in advance about this issue, usually offer an opt-in (but opt-out is also legal if it is possible to opt-out prior to the recording).

Android has officially blocked the SDK method since Marshmallow. After that a work around was introduced with the NDK to solve the problem. This seemed to work in android 6, 7 and 8. The NDK based approach is also blocked in Pie. So technically it is impossible to record calls.Source ff782bc1db
