Connecting Mountain House, One Sip At A Time!

The February 10, 2018 Mountain House Wine Club event is being hosted by our own Dayna and Ben Marks. Bring your favorite Valentine, or just come with your own heart in hand.

In order to register for the monthly event you must be one of the first 50 club members to RSVP via the PayPal link. We ask that each person attending bring a bottle of your fave wine to share at the event.

Upcoming 2018 Wine Club will be featuring a new twist:

  • February 10: "onsite" event at the lovely home of Dayna & Ben Marks
  • March "offsite/Roadtrip" event at a local winery - stay tuned for details!

The Mountain House Wine Club was founded in 2012 by Joshua Anderson and Treasure Molina. The couple wanted to meet a growing community’s need for genuine relationships and to learn more about wine and understand the true art of its nature.

It is through this wine club that members with similar interests can come together once a month and build lasting friendships while learning to appreciate the art of wine.

Our hopes for the MH Wine Club is that we will connect our community, One Sip At A Time. Come join our Wine Club family.

New Members Host in Bethany Village at September Wine Club

A consistent theme for 2017 for the Mountain House Wine Club has been new members - especially new members hosting! The September 23, 2017 gathering was hosted by Ben & Dayna Marks in their Bethany home.

New to the area, the couple first attended the July event, hosted by Josie Alvarez at the Mountain House Bar & Grill. Two months later, and just their third event overall, they presented a wonderful evening of beautifully paired wine and food tastings.

Wine Club Goes Fiesta for August Gathering

Meeting new friends has become a solid tradition with the Mountain House Wine Club. The sense of community is always strengthened when new members step up and agree to host an event, especially right out of the shoot. Such was the case for the August 26, 2017 event. Hosts Shanette and Michael Williams - new residents of Mountain House, graciously opened up their Altamont home for a “Fiesta” themed evening.

The wine selections went beautifully with the pairings, and mood was lively.

“Shanette and Michael, you guys rock! We had a wonderful time meeting new people. I loved the home made Mexican cooking and Costco chocolate cake was the bomb! Thank you for hosting!” longtime member and past host Arlene Cruz-Daugherty said. View more photos from the event

Mountain House Matters - January 2017 issue

Four years since its inception, the Mountain House Wine Club took a big step forward with its first event organized officially by the new Board of Directors. Wine Club Highlights

Tasting Yumminess at October WineClub

Chef Jeff and Mary Naleway opened their home to the Mountain House Wine Club once again featuring a costume optional night of finely matched wines with the scrumptious pairing delights. A fun time was had by all, topped off with an acoustic guitar jam with yours truly and one of my best buds, Jeff Belbey, doing a live rehearsal for our gig this week at the No Name Bar in Sausalito, coming up on Wednesday. The evening started with a lovely cheese fondue, paired beautifully with a Trione 2015 white, that had just a touch of effervescence that melded the four cheese fondue delicately on the palate. The second pairing was a very tasty german potato salad with braised pork and a pork braising liquid reduction, just right with a 2012 Waterstone Carneros Pinot Noir. And, the official part of the evening was capped by a oh-so-yum Apfelstrudel bite with a lovely 2014 Von Hovel Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett Mosel. Mary Naleway presented a tremendous backdrop with her expert professionally appointed festive decor and did so much to set the tone for a fun event for all.
