This is my 19th year teaching Physics at Montgomery High School. I grew up in Santa Rosa and was a member of the first graduating class at Maria Carrillo High School. After which I attended the University of Montana to study Physics. I feel extremely lucky to honestly say that I look forward to going to school each day and teaching Physics to my students. I look forward to a great year and hope you don't hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns.

Mission For The Class:
Physics is the study of the basic rules that govern the universe. The ultimate goal of this class is to gain a better understanding of these rules. Much the same way musicians can hear a greater beauty in a song because of their training, or athletes gain more admiration for a player by understanding their sport, I hope to give my students a greater appreciation for the world around them. If a student can look at a fireworks display and say "Wow, that's neat" that's one thing. It is totally another to say, "Wow, that's neat how the all firework's sparks fly in symmetric parabolic arcs due to the independence of the constant velocity in the horizontal direction and accelerated motion in the vertical direction."
"Teaching is not telling and learning is not repeating."Â
