We continue empowering young women and girls under the Programme "Mission Possible" with the financial support of the Bulgarian Women Fund under their project "Birds in BG 2", co-funded by the European Union. In 2026 we implemented the following initiatives:
-For second year we implemented the initiative "Spread love not violence" for Saint Valentine's Day together with the "Rose Valley" Women Club spreading sweet valentines and leaflets with information for domestic violence prevention.
-For the International Women's Day we took part in the Women's Rights Protest in Sofia with a group of girls and women.
-We organised Art Events for rural women with whom we discussed the challenges they face in rural areas, as widows or women living alone while they were paining nature morte paintings of vases with flowers from their gardens under the guidance of the director of the city gallery. We engaged 100 rural women from 7 small villages in our municipaality who shared their points of view in questionnaires as well.
-We held info-sessions for Roma young girls and women on the topic of prevention of early marriages, girls school drop-outs with advice on raising their children to those who have given birth underage.
For the European Youth Week( 24 April -1 May 2026) as a Eurodesk info point we organised the event "All in for Europe"on the main square of Karlovo. With an interactive presentation of the EU member states, the European programmes and institutions through our new educational resource we have from the Eurodesk network - the "Adventures in Europe"game we informed hundreds of young people and citizens about Europe and its values. We also presented the game at the national meeting of Youth Centres in Blagoevgrad encouraging other colleague youth workers to use innovative tools for engaging young people and local communities.
