The project "Rose Valley Angels" is funded by the European Youth Foundation. Its main aim is to foster active youth citizenship and volunteering among rural youth. We have included 5 pilot villages from the Municipality of Karlovo(Dabene, Voynyagovo, Kliment, Karavelovo and Bogdan). Four young people from each village will be trained in active citizenship and will after that implement follow-up mini-projects for their local community engaging more young people and local citizens.
The project "Young Environmental Saviors" is funded by teh European Youth Foundation. Its main aim is to raise the environmental awareness and foster the active youth citizenship and volunteering of rural youth. We have included 5 pilot villages from the Municipality of Karlovo(Dabene, Voynyagovo, Kliment, Karavelovo and Bogdan) and 2 underdeveloped small towns(Banya and Klisoura). We will organise the kick-off meeting with the mayors of teh settlements on Earth Day(22 April) to plan the project and select 4 active young people who will be trained to implement eco-projects for their village/town.
This is our first project under the Erasmus programme for Small Collaborative Partnerships in the field of sport. In partnership with organisations and sport clubs from Romania, Poland, Cyprus and Egypt we will carry out national surveys about women in sport, will exchange best practices for better social inclusion of women through sport and organise sport events for European Move Week, European Week of Sport and European Fitness Day. The international youth exchange "Rural Youth Refuse to Lose" which we postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19 aims at exchanging best practices for fostering active youth citizenship of rural youth. We are partnering with organisations from Romania, Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Lithuania. We had meetings and special missions in local villages and sessions for active youth citizenship and volunteering so the young people in rural areas can plan and implement mini-projects for their settlements.
The international training course "Building the young digital leaders of the future" which we postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19 aims at fostering digital citizenship among youth workers, youth leaders and teachers from 9 countries(Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Estonia and Lithuania). The project also aims at raising the media literacy, giving useful digital tools and programmes to youth workers so we can build together the future digital leaders who will fight media stereotypes, online hate speech, fake news and polarisation in society imposed by media. Under the project"Who, if not we-the women" we published a booklet with a survey about women in power in the period 2014-2021 and organised a debate on the topic for International Women's Day on 8th March 2021
The project aimed on teh one hand to foster lobbying about women issues among women MPs and candidate MPS(as we were in pre-election period for national parliament), women local councilors and women at leading positions in the municipal administration. On the other hand we aimed at giving example and encouraging young girls to fight for equal rights and opportunities for development.
Ten of our most active girls and 20 women took part at the event. The women were MPs. candidate MPs, local councilors from Karlovo, Sopot and Zlatitsa, women-mayors and women at leading positions in the Municipality of Karlovo.
We received official letters of address from the Vice President of Bulgaria -Iliyana Yotova and the EU Commissioner -Mariya Gabriel
"The power is in US and the Community" - a 3-year project supported by the OAK Foundation and “Tulip” Foundation. Under the project we manage the Family centre ”Better together” where mothers and children meet to exchange and gain knowledge about early childhood development. We also meet disadvantaged families in the villages around Karlovo informing them about important issues for their children development
Under the project "COVID Can't Stop us" supported by the Eurodesk we celebrated “Time to Move 2021” Campaign by organizing info stand on the main pedestrian street in Karlovo where young people, participants in Erasmus+ projects were sharing their experience and informing passer-bys about educational mobilities in Europe. https://www.facebook.com/mgirdrosevalley/posts/3019409938336492
„Colourful, different but united”– a tolerance building project supported by the Coalition ”EqualBG” under which we made a colourful art installation with different colour umbrellas showing we are all different but must accept everyone as equal.
