This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application My Family Should Know ("MFSK", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information. The App is published by AARESS-AITECH (proprietor: Ranvir Singh), Gurgaon, India.
By using MFSK, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Our Core Privacy Principle
MFSK is designed as a private, offline application. The information you enter is stored only on your own device. We do not operate any servers that receive your personal data, and your information is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the App.

2. Information You Enter
MFSK allows you to record personal and family information — such as contacts, medical details, documents, financial information, and personal wishes — so that it is available to your family when needed.
• All of this information is stored locally on your device only.
• It is held in an encrypted form on the device, using AES-256 encryption (a strong, industry-standard method).
• We do not collect, receive, access, transmit, sell, or share this information.
• We have no ability to see the information you enter.
You are in sole control of this information. You may edit or delete it at any time within the App, or remove it entirely by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect
MFSK does not:
• Collect analytics or usage statistics.
• Use any advertising or advertising identifiers.
• Include crash-reporting or tracking tools.
• Access your contacts, camera, location, or microphone.
• Connect to the internet to send or receive your personal data.
• Create any account with us or require you to share data with us.
The App requests only local storage access, which is used solely to save your information on your own device.

4. Payments
MFSK is free to download. An optional one-time in-app purchase unlocks full access to all sections.
• Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing.
• We do not receive, process, or store your payment card details or financial information.
• Any information related to your purchase is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy https://policies.google.com/privacy. We receive only confirmation from Google that a purchase was completed, which is used to unlock the App's features on your device.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Loss
• Your information is stored on your device and encrypted using AES-256 encryption, a strong encryption standard widely used by banks, governments, and security-conscious organisations.
• The encryption key is held in your device's secure hardware-backed storage (Android Keystore), separate from the App's data.
• Your login password and security answers are never stored in readable form; they are protected using PBKDF2, a strong password-hashing technique specifically designed to resist automated guessing attempts.
• Access to the App is protected by your own username and password, followed by two-factor authentication using three personal security questions that you set. Combined with AES-256 encryption, this means no one can reach your information even if your phone is lost or stolen.
• The App does not permit screenshots or screen recording of its content, as an additional mark of security.
• Because the data lives only on your device, its safety also depends on your device's own security (screen lock, device encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device secured.
• If you lose your device, uninstall the App, or clear the App's data, the information stored in MFSK may be permanently lost, as we keep no copy (though a provision for an encrypted digital backup will be available soon). Until then, please use the App's export feature to keep your own backup in PDF where appropriate.

6. Sharing of Information
We do not share your information with anyone, because we never receive it.
The App includes a feature that lets you generate and export a document (for example, a PDF) of your own information. If you choose to export and share such a document, that sharing is done by you, at your discretion, using your device's own sharing options. We are not involved in and have no visibility into that process.

7. Children's Privacy
MFSK is intended for use by adults for personal and family record-keeping. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone (as we do not collect information at all).

8. International Users
MFSK is available to users in India and internationally. Because the App stores data locally on your device and does not transmit it, your information does not cross borders through the App. You are responsible for complying with any laws applicable in your own jurisdiction regarding the information you choose to store.
This policy is intended to align with applicable data-protection principles, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and comparable international frameworks. As we do not collect personal data, most obligations relating to data collection and processing do not arise.

9. Your Rights
Because your information never leaves your device and we never hold it, you retain complete and direct control:
• Access — all your information is visible to you within the App.
• Correction — you may edit any entry at any time.
• Deletion — you may delete any entry, clear all App data, or uninstall the App to remove your information.
We cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete your information on your behalf, because we do not hold it.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top will indicate when changes were made. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
