(Continuing from the previous Challenges)
This challenge is comprised of 3 tasks:
METALLURGICAL MANUFACTURING
Create the investment casting mold around your hammer pattern
Use your robot program to efficiently create the mold
Melt-out the 3D-Printed pattern from the mold
Pour molten aluminum into your mold to create you metal hammer design
TOOL MAKING
Design and manufacture tooling to support the subtractive post-processing of your cast hammer design
BENCHWORK
Create one or more (as many as necessary) technical drawings for your hammer design assembly/components that indicate critical vs non-critical features, tolerances, etc.
You must include at least one (1) GD&T feature to inspect
Inspect your hammer according to the technical drawing(s) you've created, and create a First Article Inspection (FAI) report
It is OK if your part does not meet the tolerances you've created in your FAI; this is all good learning
