The key objective of this challenge is to interact with robotic systems/processes, as well as understand, implement, and iterate on DFM concepts
Utilizing Robotic Manufacturing technologies/systems/assets, design, integrate, & program a robot to build up your mold for investment casting your hammer design (continuing from previous challenges):
Using a Cobot arm in the lab, program the arm to build-up an investment casting mold, with the following order of operations:
Pick up part from rack
Dip part in Suspenda-slurry bucket
Let part drip-dry
Spin part in silica mixer
Hang part on rack to dry for proper cure time
Repeat process for at least 10 coats
Below is a list of the points/actions that should be in your program
Program notes/documentation
Move to Home position
Prep move to approach rack
Move to above part grab
Move to part grab
Gripper Close (Clamp on Part)
Move to above part grab / remove from shelf
Move to approach rack
Move to home
Move to approach suspenda-slurry bucket
Move to above suspendaslurry bucket
Dip part into suspenda-slurry SLOWLY; linear move (how control depth?)
Spin part in suspenda-slurry?
Pull part out of suspenda-slurry SLOWLY; linear move
Spin-dry part vertically (how long/many rotations?)
Spin-dry part at angle (how long/many rotations?)
Shake part (?)
Move to Home
Move to approach mixer
Move to above mixer
Move inside mixer (linear TCP move)
Start mixer (relay?)
Spin part inside mixer (how long / how many rotations?)
Reverse-spin part inside mixer (how long / how many rotations?)
Turn off mixer
Spin part CW x3 rotations (get off excess)
Spin part CCW x3 rotations (get off excess)
Move to above mixer (linear TCP move)
Move to approach mixer
Move to Home
