How can I join WowApp?


Because WowApp is based on the idea of community and sharing between real people, access is invitation-based only.

In order to join WowApp you need to receive an invitation from an existing WowApp user, so ask any of your friends who already has a WowApp account to share their WowApp Personal Page with you. You’ll be able to create your account and join their network from there. Alternatively, you can join WowApp with the help of one of our featured members here.

How do I use the invite I received?


Access to WowApp is invitation-based only so congratulations for receiving an invite to join!

To join, click the link in the invitation you received to visit the Personal Page of the person who invited you. Click the “Join” button from your friend’s Personal Page. Next, you’ll need to confirm your email address and username, and enter a new password.

Once you create your account, install the apps for your smartphone, tablet and desktop!

- create your WowApp account by following the “Join” link from the invitation you received or by joining one of our featured members from here: https://www.wowapp.com/join-wowapp.

- download and install the app for iOS, Android, Windows or Mac. You can find a tutorial for downloading and installing the desktop version (Windows/Mac) of the app here: https://www.wowapp.com/download/guide

- log into the app with the WowApp account that you created.

How do I validate my phone number with WowApp?


When you login into WowApp for the first time, on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you will be asked to validate your phone number. This means you will have to fill in a 4-digit code we send you over SMS at the phone number you provide.

When trying to validate your phone number, please follow these step-by-step instructions:

  1. Check that you have a working internet connection either via Wi-Fi, cellular data, 4G, or EDGE service. Please note that if you are roaming or if your number was recently ported, the phone validation may not work correctly.
  2. Select your country from the drop-down list.
  3. Enter your phone number in the designated box. Don’t put any extra 0s before your number!
  4. Make sure you entered your phone number correctly. This is very important!
  5. Confirm that the number you entered is correct or edit it if necessary.
  6. Wait for the validation code to arrive.
  7. Complete the validation by entering the 4-digit code you received.

If your phone number validation failed, follow these steps:

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Delete and reinstall the latest WowApp version.
  3. Send a test SMS message from a phone number to the number you added to the WowApp validation screen, exactly as it appears inside WowApp (including the country code, too).
  4. How fast is your SMS service? If the SMS you sent yourself took a while to get to you, try to validate your number again and wait patiently (it may take up to 5 minutes for the SMS to arrive).
  5. If the timer to enter the code runs out and verification fails, you will see an option to request a phone call.
  6. Select the Call Me option to request the call.
  7. Wait a few seconds for your phone to ring. An automated voice will tell you the activation code as soon as you answer the call. Type in the validation code provided.

In some rare cases, you may have apps that prevent incoming calls and texts, so please try these steps to fix the issue:

  • Disable any call-blocking features or apps.
  • Check to see if you can receive phone calls.
  • Disable any text message interceptors installed (such as: TextSecure or Handcent).
  • Disable any task killers installed (for example: Advanced Task Killer).

Please Note: WowApp doesn’t support emulators or Android-based PCs (such as Bluestacks or Youwave). We can’t help you if you want to validate your phone number on one of these devices.

In case you’ve tried all of the above steps and you still couldn’t validate your phone number, send us an email to support@wowapp.com. In the email, please include a detailed description with the steps you’ve done to ensure the phone number validation as well as the number you used.

Note: Due to security reasons, we can’t send you a validation code via email.

Note 2: If you want to use WowApp on a tablet, you will first need to validate it with a real phone number on your phone.

How do I validate my email address with WowApp?


When you log into WowApp for the first time, you will be asked to validate the email address associated with the WowApp account. This means you will receive an email with a validation link to access.

If you haven’t received the email in your Inbox, please check your Spam/Junk folder. If you haven’t received the email there either, please check if you’ve entered the correct email address. To check or edit your email address, go to Profile Info in your WowApp account.

How do I change the phone number or email address associated to my WowApp account?


To change the phone number or email address associated to your WowApp account, go to “Profile Info” in your WowApp account.

To sign into your WowApp account on your smartphone, tablet or desktop, use the username or email address you used when you created your account and your password.

How do I recover my username and/or password?


In case you forgot your username and/or password, please follow the steps below to recover it:

  1. Go to the Forgot your username or password page: https://www.wowapp.com/forgot-password
  2. Enter the email address or username you used when you created your WowApp account.
  3. Tap Submit.
  4. You will receive an email containing your username and a link to reset your password.
  5. To reset your password, click on the link.
  6. Enter a new password.
  7. Verify that the password you entered is correct.
  8. You password has now been reset.

How do I change my password?


To change your password, go to “Profile Info” in your WowApp account and click on the “Change Password” button. You will have to fill in your current password and choose a new password.

How do I update my profile?


To update your profile, go to “Profile Info” and “Personal Page” in your WowApp account. To reach “Personal page completion 100%”, make sure to fill in all details about yourself, including uploading a cover photo in the “Personal Page” section.

How do I change my account information?


To change your account information, go to “Profile Info” in your WowApp account and click on the EDIT buttons available.

Can I change my username?

No, once you chose a username for your WowApp account you cannot change it.

Can I invite myself or can I have multiple accounts?


No! We do not allow self-invite and every user may only have one account. Users with multiple accounts or users that invite themselves will waive all rights to earn WowCoins. Only one account per user is allowed in order to earn WowCoins.
