Metrosoft, Inc. (MSI) originated as an Information Technology (IT). In order to meet the growing demands for computerized business management system applications from the clientele, the idea of creating a new group cropped up. In 1991, a core group of competent and dedicated software specialists was formed to initiate the development of MSI’s packaged software applications. Thus, MSI formally spinned-off as a corporate entity in 1993 then became a part of Gain’s Group of Companies.
In August 1994, or after one and a half years of development with more than a million pesos worth in investment, Metrosoft, Inc. developed its first application software: The MSI Payroll System for DOS. The package introduction was well received by the business community. It attracted and captured more than six hundred users within a short span of three years.
Nevertheless, even after the initial success of the DOS Payroll System, MSI was still not contented with its achieved status quo. It again reinvested millions of pesos and thousands of man-hours to develop its second best seller: The MSI Payroll System for Windows. Within a year’s time, it garnered more than two hundred corporate users, with some companies having even more than a thousand employees within their employ.
With the numerous words of encouragement and appreciation extended by various business communities, MSI was thus convinced to continue its legacy in the software industry. Until now, MSI is still developing more systems application software packages to better serve its ever-growing clientele. MSI vows to do its best, in pursuit of excellence in its field of endeavor.
