Privacy Policy — Metronome & Tap Tempo: BPM
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Metronome & Tap Tempo: BPM (package name com.kirici.metronome, "the app", "we") handles information. The app is published by kirici. Contact: yldrmkrc01@gmail.com
Summary
The app works on your phone. Your tempo settings, saved presets, setlists and practice times are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us.
The app does not use the microphone, does not record audio, does not request location permission and does not collect your location.
No account is required. We do not sell your personal data.
The app uses Google services for ads, analytics, crash reports and in-app purchases, as described below. Subscriptions are managed with Adapty.
1. Information processed on your device
Settings and content you create. Your tempo, time signature, sound and display settings, saved presets, setlists and practice time totals are stored only on your phone until you change or remove them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Voice count. If you use the voice count sound, the spoken numbers are generated once by your phone's text-to-speech engine and saved on your phone. No audio is recorded.
2. Permissions
Notifications: to show playback controls (for example Stop and Next song) while the metronome is playing. Foreground service (media playback): to keep the click running with the screen off. Vibration: for the optional vibration on each beat. Network access: for ads, analytics, crash reports and purchases. The app does not request microphone, camera, contacts or location permission. You can change permissions at any time in Android settings.
3. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services. They may collect information as described in their own policies.
Google AdMob (ads). Shows ads in the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and ad interaction data. In the EU/EEA, you are asked for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Firebase Analytics. Collects usage events (for example that the metronome was started, a preset was saved or a feature was used) to improve the app. These events do not include the names of your presets or setlists. In the EU/EEA, Analytics depends on the consent you give through Google UMP; if you do not consent, it sends only limited, aggregate usage signals without identifiers or on-device storage (Google consent mode). Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, it sends the device model, Android version, app version and the crash log so we can fix errors. No personal content is sent. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play Billing. Handles in-app purchases. Payment is processed by Google; we do not receive your payment details. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Adapty: manages Metronome Pro subscriptions and purchases. Adapty may process an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription status, device model, Android version, app version, country and IP address. It does not receive your payment card details or your presets, setlists or practice data. Privacy policy: https://adapty.io/privacy
4. Legal basis (EEA / UK)
Processing on your device is necessary to provide the features you use.
Personalized ads: In the EU/EEA, personalized ads are based on the consent you give through Google UMP, which you can withdraw at any time.
Firebase Analytics: In the EU/EEA, Analytics is based on the consent you give through Google UMP. If you do not consent, Analytics sends only limited, aggregate usage signals without using identifiers or on-device storage (Google consent mode). Outside the EU/EEA, usage data is collected without depending on consent.
Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable. When a crash happens, the device model, Android version, app version and crash log are sent; no personal content is sent.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the app does not keep your data on our servers, most data can be deleted directly in the app or by uninstalling it. For data held by Google services, see Google's privacy tools. For any request, contact us at yldrmkrc01@gmail.com.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Security
Data processed by the app stays on your phone and is protected by Android's app storage. No method is 100% secure, but we do not transmit your presets, setlists, practice data or location.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
