Metric Observer is a private analytics and monitoring tool used to analyze YouTube channel performance and related data.
1. Data accessed
Metric Observer uses YouTube API Services and may access authorized YouTube channel information, video metadata, and YouTube Analytics data, including views, watch time, average view duration, traffic sources, geographic information, device information, and subscriber-related metrics.
Metric Observer may also process publicly available YouTube data for trend and competitor monitoring.
2. How data is used
The data is used only for analytics, historical tracking, performance monitoring, and improving channel strategy.
3. Data storage
Authorized analytics data may be stored in private Google Sheets and related Google services controlled by the operator of Metric Observer.
4. Data sharing
Metric Observer does not sell personal data or authorized YouTube Analytics data. Data is not shared with third parties except where necessary to operate Google and YouTube API Services or as required by law.
5. Data retention and deletion
Data is retained only as needed for analytics and historical comparison. Stored data can be deleted by the operator when it is no longer required.
Users may revoke Metric Observer’s access to their Google Account at any time through their Google Account permissions.
Data deletion requests will be handled within 30 days.
6. Google and YouTube services
Metric Observer uses YouTube API Services. Use of YouTube is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Google’s handling of user data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect authorized data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
