Metaphysics and introspection workshop

(13-14 May 2022)

About The Workshop

The Metaphysics and Introspection workshop explores whether phenomenological reflection on experiences can be a reliable guide to the nature of consciousness or the nature of reality. Related questions we aim to discuss include:

(i) Can introspection be a reliable guide to fundamental ontology?

(ii) Do we have special epistemic access to the natures of our experiences?

(iii) Can we know the essential properties of an experience, and if so, what are they?

(iv) Can experience tell us what selfhood is?

The event will be held online (via Zoom) on the 13th and 14th of May, 2022.

To register and receive the Zoom link, please enter your details in this online form. Registration for the event is now closed.

As we aim for a workshop with high-quality and more intimate exchanges, the attendance is limited. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis extending to a waitlist if necessary. Please let us know if you register but subsequently cannot attend.
