An Employee and Customer From BoSa Donuts Hospitalized

At a BoSa Donuts in Mesa, a man fired at an employee and a customer early on Sunday morning. According to Brandi George, a spokesperson for the Mesa Police Department, the shooting took place around 3:15 a.m. near Dobson Road and West Rio Salado Parkway. Although both victims were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, police say their injuries were not life-threatening. George stated that they currently don't have custody of the suspect which is very sad. Officials are effectively investigating and examining the leads they have. I just hope that the man who shoots them will be punished. I really hope so because it's so scary when you buy something at the store and experience a gunshot out of nowhere. It's terrifying. Hopefully, there will be witnesses to show up. Read more

Mesa Grande Cultural Park in AZ

The Mesa Grande Cultural Park was built by the Hohokam, the ancestors of the Akimel O'odham (Pima). With walls produced using "caliche," the calcium carbonate hardpan that structures under the desert soils, the hill is longer and more extensive than a cutting-edge football field and is 27 feet high. The mound's construction began around 1100 AD and continued until at least 1400 AD. It's surrounded by a substantial adobe wall and a substantial plaza in front of it. A replica of a Hohokam ballcourt, an open-air structure where ballgames were played with a rubber ball made from a local plant, was built by volunteers from the Arizona Museum of Natural History in one corner of the site. In the 1980s, the Mesa Grande ruins were purchased by the City of Mesa to open them to the public as a place for learning and recreation and to preserve Mesa's most valuable cultural asset. Open from mid-October to the middle of May and reopened on October 16, 2021. It's a must-visit location in Mesa, AZ.
