I am an applied microeconomist. I conduct research and analysis primarily on themes related to gender and labour economics. My most recent work has taken me into an in-depth analysis of trials and policies to increase women’s economic participation and digital financial inclusion, social assistance, women in politics, and expenditure decentralisation. I have written a number of journal articles, book chapters, and books, such as in World Bank Economic Review and Journal of Development Studies.
I lead pilot and large-scale research projects and collaborate with multi-country research teams. In my current role as a lecturer at the Indonesia Project, Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University, I am developing academic research projects using quasi-experimental and experimental methods on various topics in Indonesia, while contributing to the Project's outreach activities.
My prior experience includes leading multi-country research consortiums on future demand for care, multi-country mixed-method studies related to gender norms, and three pilot RCT projects in Indonesia, evaluating programs in partnership with the government and non-government stakeholders.
