Thank you for choosing Mera Hisaab, a shop management and inventory tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in line with Google Play Developer Program Policies and best practices for user data security.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Mera Hisaab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data to external servers or third parties. All data you enter—such as product names, quantities, prices, customer/supplier details, and inventory records—is stored locally on your device using Android’s Scoped Storage and Safe Storage mechanisms.
The app only requests permissions necessary for core functionality:
Storage Access: To generate and save receipts locally and share them via other apps (e.g., email, messaging).
No other permissions (like internet, contacts, location, etc.) are requested or used.
2. Data Storage and Security
All app data (inventory, receipts, customer/supplier info) is stored only on your device in a private app directory.
We use Android’s Scoped Storage and Safe Storage APIs to ensure your data is isolated and inaccessible to other apps without your explicit consent (e.g., when sharing a receipt).
No data is backed up to cloud services or transmitted online.
3. Sharing Data with Third Parties
Mera Hisaab does not share any user data with third parties.
The only instance where data leaves your device is when you intentionally share a receipt (e.g., via email, WhatsApp, or Bluetooth). This action is user-initiated and uses Android’s standard share menu.
4. Permissions Explanation
The app requires storage permission to:
Save generated receipts as PDF/image files on your device.
Allow sharing of receipts through other installed apps.
This permission is requested only when needed and is used solely for the stated purpose.
5. Compliance with Google Play Policies
We comply with Google’s Developer Program Policies, including the User Data policy.
Since the app does not collect or transmit personal/sensitive data, no data disclosure practices (like encryption, deletion requests, etc.) are applicable beyond local device storage.
The app is designed to be safe for all users, with no hidden data collection mechanisms.
6. User Control and Data Deletion
You retain full control over your data. All information can be edited or deleted within the app.
To permanently remove all app data, uninstall the app from your device. This will delete all locally stored records (inventory, receipts, etc.).
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the app listing on Google Play, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly.
