The items you're looking for should be available in the Menu button near the top-right side of the browser; if not, would you be kind enough to let us know specifically what functionality you're looking for so I can bring that feedback to our development team?

A menu bar is positioned at the top of the browser window. You can access various menus or use the buttons for quick access to access files or your favorites sites, or you can type in the URL in the box to navigate to a specific page.

Hello Brave Team. Is there any update regarding this? Would love you fix this. It is highly annoying. This just happens only in chromium based browsers and not on Firefox or Safari. Just this issue is keeping me from switching to brave for long.

Before Firefox 55 this API was also originally named contextMenus, and that name has been retained as an alias, so you can use contextMenus to write code that works in Firefox and also in other browsers.

In a Firefox extension using non-persistent background pages (Event pages) or in any Chrome extension, you call menus.create from within a runtime.onInstalled listener. In a Firefox extension using persistent background pages, you make a top-level call. See menus.create() for more information.

If you have created more than one context menu item or more than one tools menu item, then the items will be placed in a submenu. The submenu's parent will be labeled with the name of the extension. For example, here's an extension called "Menu demo" that's added two context menu items:

If you've specified icons for your extension using the "icons" manifest key, your menu item will display the specified icon next to its label. The browser will try to choose a 16x16 pixel icon for a normal display or a 32x32 pixel icon for a high-density display:

For compatibility with other browsers, Firefox makes this method available in the contextMenus namespace and menus namespace. However, it's not possible to create tools menu items (contexts: ["tools_menu"]) using the contextMenus namespace.

When one of the recognized values is specified, clicking the item does not trigger the menus.onClicked event; instead, the default action triggers, such as opening a pop-up. Otherwise, clicking the item triggers menus.onClicked and the event can be used to implement fallback behavior.

object. One or more custom icons to display next to the item. Custom icons can only be set for items appearing in submenus. This property is an object with one property for each supplied icon: the property's name should include the icon's size in pixels, and path is relative to the icon from the extension's root directory. The browser tries to choose a 16x16 pixel icon for a normal display or a 32x32 pixel icon for a high-density display. To avoid any scaling, you can specify icons like this:

integer or string. The ID of a parent menu item; this makes the item a child of a previously added item. Note: If you have created more than one menu item, then the items will be placed in a submenu. The submenu's parent will be labeled with the name of the extension.

You can use "%s" in the string. If you do this in a menu item, and some text is selected in the page when the menu is shown, then the selected text will be interpolated into the title. For example, if title is "Translate '%s' to Pig Latin" and the user selects the word "cool", then activates the menu, then the menu item's title will be: "Translate 'cool' to Pig Latin".

In some localized versions of Firefox (Japanese and Chinese), the access key is surrounded by parentheses and appended to the menu label, unless the menu title itself already ends with the access key ("toolkit(&K)" for example). For more details, see Firefox bug 1647373.

In the past I had a few instances where the Shotgun Browser right click menu was kinda slow in picking up changes of Software entities. Usually hitting F5 in the browser a few times helped, but this time nothing seems to help.

I created a new Software entity and on one artist machine I cannot bring it to show up (for everyone else it is showing). I tried hitting F5 in the browser, restarting Shotgun Desktop, login in and out of Shotgun and Shotgun Desktop and rebooting the machine. All no dice. So my question is: Is there a definit way of forcing the Shotgun Menu to refresh?

This issue has never been fixed for us, but we found that enabling/disabling any Software Entity pretty much forces an update on the right click menu. In our case we have an older version of Nuke Assist that we toggle on or off whenever an artist reports this issue. Really not an elegant solution but it works like 95% of the time. Hope that helps!

Windows and Linux users can set the menu to either appear as a Vivaldi menu button or as a horizontal menu across the top of the window. Go to Settings > Appearance > Menu > Menu Position. Next to it you can also choose the menu icon style.

In TortoiseGit -> Settings, there are two panes for context menu. One is Context Menu, the other one is Set Extend Menu Item. They have its own Repo-browser item.

To avoid having to press SHIFT to see it, you can uncheck the Repo-browser option on Settings -> Context Menu 2, this should display your Repo-browser option just doing RIGHT-CLICK (TortoiseGit version 2.8.0.0 64 bits)

I have the need to trigger the opening of the browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc) context-menu via javascript. The problem I am trying to solve, is when an overlaid element is right-clicked, the element below it shows its context menu. So if the top element is a label, when you right click, I need to show the context menu for the input element below.

If what you are asking for was actually doable, then the browser makers would possibly consider this a bug and remove this behavior. Cross-browser, this behavior is very unlikely to be available today.

Why don't you capture mouse events, and whenever the mouse is directly in the area of the element below that you want to show the context menu for, push the covering element below, otherwise back on top?

I have a possible solution that may suit your needs. It is not perfect yet, I have only done a few quick tests in a few browsers (Fox 3.6, IE7, IE8, Chrome 4, Safari 3 on xp) It will need to be tweaked and improved but its a start. Basically the idea is to remove the label on right-click mousedown so that the desired field is hit by the mouseup event and therefore fires up the context menu on the relevant field.

The IE and Safari browsers experience a strange issue where you need to click in and out twice before the label will display again (something to do with event timing I think). You may be able to easily see why this is happening by looking at the code. Also noticed slight glitch sometimes in the fox after pasting into the field, on blur the label appeared for a split second when it should not. This should be a fairly simply thing to rectify if you decide to incorporate this method into your code. e24fc04721
