Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the MentorAi app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by OzzyAi Labs (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service with optional paid subscriptions. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically while you use the Application, and results generated by the Application's AI features.
Information you provide
Account information: your name or user name, email address, and the sign-in method you choose (email and password, Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple). Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to the Service Provider.
Content you create: journal entries and the moods you select, habits (including custom habits) and their progress, tasks, the goal you choose during onboarding, and the messages you write to AI coaches.
Preferences: language, time zone, theme, and reminder and notification settings.
Information collected automatically
Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
The pages of the Application that you visit, the actions you take in it (for example, saving a journal entry or opening a coach), the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
The time spent on the Application
The operating system you use on your mobile device, the device model and the Application version
Error and crash information
A push notification token, if you allow notifications
Your subscription status (the Service Provider never receives your card or payment details; payments are processed by Apple or Google)
Your device's advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking when the Application asks you (iOS App Tracking Transparency)
Information generated by AI features
Journal insights, emotion labels, weekly reports and weekly scores created from your data. These are stored in your account so you can see them again.
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
How the information is used
To provide the Application's features and keep your data in sync across your devices
To create journal insights, AI coach replies and weekly reports (only with your permission, see "AI Features and Third-Party AI Service")
To send the reminders and notifications you turn on
To manage your subscription and premium features
To show ads that keep the Application free
To understand how the Application is used, fix errors and improve the service
To protect the security of the Application and prevent fraud and abuse
To send you important service information and required notices
To comply with legal obligations
The text of your journal entries and your messages to AI coaches is never used for advertising and is never sent to analytics or advertising services.
AI Features and Third-Party AI Service
The Application's journal insights, AI coach conversations and weekly reports are generated by the Gemini API, a third-party AI service provided by Google LLC. The Application only sends your data to this service after you give permission on the permission screen shown inside the Application. You can withdraw that permission at any time in Settings → "Share data with AI (Google Gemini)".
What is sent: the text of your journal entries and the mood you select; the messages you write to AI coaches together with the recent conversation; your first name and the goal you chose during onboarding; the names of your habits and a summary of your weekly habit and task progress (numbers of completed habits and tasks). Your email address, password and payment information are never sent to the AI service.
How it is sent: the Application sends the data to the Service Provider's own backend (Google Cloud Functions for Firebase), which forwards it to the Gemini API over an encrypted connection. AI coach conversations are not stored on the Service Provider's servers; your conversation history is kept only on your device.
Why it is sent: only to create your journal insights, AI coach replies and weekly reports.
Protection: Google processes this data as a service provider on behalf of the Service Provider under the Gemini API and Google Cloud terms and data processing terms, which require protection of the data at least equal to the protection described in this privacy policy.
If you do not give permission, you can keep using the journal, habits and tasks; AI insights, AI coaches and weekly reports stay off. If you withdraw permission, no new data is sent to the AI service and weekly reports are no longer created.
AI-generated content is for self-reflection and general wellbeing only. It is not medical, psychological or professional advice.
