Short Research Summary:
I am interested in group theory, especially in the way that it interacts with other areas of mathematics, such as geometry, dynamics and analysis. A common theme is the focus on homological invariants of groups, such as cohomology, bounded cohomology, stable commutator length and quasimorphisms: for each of these the interest is both in computing these invariants for specific groups to get interesting consequences, and to understand the spectrum of the invariant by constructing specific examples. One of my favourite sources of examples is the world of Thompson-like groups: these are groups of dynamical origin, that are very concrete and approachable but hide a lot of complexity.
Lecture notes on Thompson's group F.
I have lecture notes on the topic from a three-lecture minicourse I have already given here.
More standard references are Jim Belk's PhD thesis, and lecture notes by Pepe Burillo.

Mentee Assessment:
The assessment will be done as a catch-up session during Topology and Algebras Workshop 2026.
