I am a Lecturer (a.k.a. Assistant Professor) at the School of Computing, Australian National University. Before that, I worked as a Research Associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and as a Postdoc at Iowa State University. I obtained my Ph.D. Degree (2021) from the University of Queensland, Master's Degree (2017) from Dalian University of Technology, and Bachelor's Degree (2014) from Wuhan University of Science and Technology. My main research area is the Spatial Temporal Database. I have been focused on designing efficient, accurate, and scalable algorithms for route planning in dynamic and constrained environments.
My research focuses on designing fundamental algorithms to overcome challenges in real-life navigation systems by enabling efficient processing of 1) numerous queries in dynamic environments; 2) personalized routing; 3) diversified routing. Applications of my research include navigation services, robot path planning, carpooling scheduling, traffic management, logistics planning, and social network analysis.
