If you want durable, classroom-ready bulk headphones with a long cable for students who move around, choose MENGLALA USB Type C; if you need a compact, on-ear design that sits flush against the head for side sleepers or tight storage, choose ZXQZYM USB C Kids.
• MENGLALA USB Type C: Its biggest strength is the 4-foot cable length and soft fabric foam cushions designed for extended wear in busy classrooms, but it lacks active noise control features. This pick is for schools needing volume-limited, multi-device compatibility where students might need to walk around during testing.
• ZXQZYM USB C Kids: Its biggest strength is its streamlined on-ear shape that minimizes profile, making it ideal for side sleeping without pressure points, though it comes with a standard cable length. This pick is for individual users, travelers, or students who prioritize comfort while lying down over bulk utility.
The MENGLALA USB Type C headphones are engineered specifically for high-volume environments like schools, classrooms, and group testing scenarios. The most defining feature in this model is the 4-foot cable. In a practical setting, this extra length provides significant freedom of movement. A student can stand up from their desk, walk to the front of the room, or reach across a table without feeling tethered by a short wire. This makes them exceptionally versatile for teachers managing multiple devices or students taking mobile tests on tablets and Chromebooks.
Comfort is another critical factor for these bulk headphones. The design utilizes soft ear cushions made from a combination of fabric and foam. This material choice suggests a focus on breathability and reducing friction during long listening sessions, which is essential when children are wearing them for hours during school days or travel. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit that accommodates various age groups, from young kids to teenagers and even adults, allowing a single pack to serve a diverse range of users without constant readjustment.

However, you should skip this option if your primary use case involves lying down to sleep or if you require a very low-profile device that doesn't protrude. While the "On Ear" placement is generally comfortable, the combination of the thicker ear cup construction and the longer cable might create more bulk than necessary for someone trying to nap on their side. If you are looking for headphones specifically optimized for sleeping on your side, the design here prioritizes durability and mobility over the minimal profile needed for zero-pressure rest.
The ZXQZYM USB C Kids headphones take a different approach, focusing heavily on the physical footprint of the device. With an explicit "On Ear" earpiece shape and a design that appears more compact, these headphones are built to sit closer to the head. This specific geometry is a major advantage for anyone looking for multipoint headphones for side sleepers or individuals who need to store their audio gear in tight spaces like small backpacks or carry-on bags. The lower profile means less chance of the ear cups digging into your pillow or cheekbone, offering a flatter silhouette that many find more comfortable for lateral sleeping positions.
Like the MENGLALA, these are wired USB-C headphones compatible with a wide array of modern devices, including tablets, smartphones, and laptops. They cover the same age ranges and offer a 1-year warranty, ensuring they are reliable tools for education and personal use. The mixed color options allow for easy identification among siblings or classmates, and the 32-ohm impedance ensures they work well with standard audio outputs without requiring amplification.
That said, you might want to reconsider this model if you need the flexibility of a longer cord. If you are a teacher moving around a room or a student who needs to stretch their legs during a long session, the standard cable might feel restrictive compared to the extended reach of the competitor. These are best suited for stationary use, focused listening, or as a dedicated sleep aid where cable management isn't a primary concern.
• Best for side sleepers: Choose ZXQZYM USB C Kids. Their on-ear, compact design creates a lower profile that reduces pressure on the cheek and ear when lying down, making them superior for rotatable ear cups head phones for side sleepers who need a flat surface against the pillow.
• Best for mobility and movement: Choose MENGLALA USB Type C. The 4-foot cable is a standout feature that allows students to move freely around a classroom or test area without unplugging or straining the connection.
• Best for extended wear in groups: Choose MENGLALA USB Type C. The fabric and foam cushioning combined with the adjustable headband are tailored for large groups of children who need consistent comfort over long periods of time.
• Best for travel packing: Choose ZXQZYM USB C Kids. The sleeker, more compact form factor takes up less space in a bag, making it easier to throw into a pocket or small pouch.
• Best for classroom testing: Choose MENGLALA USB Type C. The longer cable prevents accidental disconnection if a student shifts seats or stands up during a digital exam.
• Best for personal, quiet use: Choose ZXQZYM USB C Kids. The design feels more intimate and less bulky, suitable for a single user enjoying music or audiobooks in bed.
• Noise Control: Both models lack active noise cancellation, so neither will block out external sounds effectively; this is a shared trade-off you must accept regardless of your choice.
• Compatibility: Both utilize USB Type C connectivity, so either will work seamlessly with Chromebooks, Android tablets, and modern smartphones without adapters.
In my opinion, if you are buying these for a specific purpose like with microphone sleep headphones for side sleepers, the ZXQZYM USB C Kids is the clear winner. The data shows a design philosophy centered on a compact, on-ear fit that aligns perfectly with the needs of someone lying on their side. The reduced bulk minimizes discomfort and pressure, which is the single most important factor for sleep comfort. However, if you are equipping a classroom or need a headphone that can handle a student walking around, the MENGLALA USB Type C with its 4-foot cable is the only logical choice. For a personal, side-sleeping setup, I would definitely buy the ZXQZYM because the physical design directly solves the problem of ear pressure better than the bulkier alternative.
