Biography

Hello, world! This is Henrik (Meng-Yun) Wang. Currently, I am a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. I was born and raised in Shandong province in the central-east of Mainland China. I obtained my B.S. and M.Ed. both in the psychology field. In 2019, I got my Ph.D. from the University of Macau. For the whole curriculum vitae, please check the CV page.

I am always fascinated with the human brain and want to know how it works. The human brain is the most complicated and marvelous organ of our bodies from my point of view. I mean how can this concrete biological organ generate so many various abstract concepts, such as consciousness, emotions, languages, and other fabulous cognitive functions? My research thus mainly focused on cognitive neuroscience where I try my best to understand the mechanisms underlying different cognitive functions in normal and abnormal populations.

In my leisure time, basketball is my favorite sport. Besides, I also like hiking and traveling.
