Since July 2023 I serve as Associate Instructional Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Chicago. My teaching focuses on econometrics and data science. 

Previously, I worked as Senior Manager and Principal Economist at Amazon Web Services (AWS, 2017-07 through 2023-08), where I built, developed, and lead teams of PhD economists, applied scientists, data scientists, data engineers, and business intelligence engineers. Prior to joining AWS, I worked as Lecturer at the University of Chicago (1/2014 through 06/2017); as visiting researcher at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (07/2013 through 12/2013); and, as Assistant Professor at Yale University's economics department (06/2006 through 06/2013).  

I have a PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a master in economics and statistics from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), a master in economics from Coripe-Piemonte at the University of Turin (Italy), and a bachelor in economics from the University of Modena (Italy).
