Hello Meiners Oaks Ojai Studio Artists!

(Does that make us MOOSA?)

I created this website to help us get organized for our Second Saturday tours!

We can also use this for some promotion, like for media outlets that will need us to submit event details before they may be live on the main OSA website.

Also, I have big-time Mojai pride and I love that we have the advantage of a vibrant business community, a great deal of walkability, and a very underrated street art scene! I want to make Meiners Oaks the best-attended of all the OSA Second Saturdays! Who's in?

It is a work in progress and I welcome all suggestions on additions & alterations.

I have requested a working budget for our group's publicity from the main OSA coffers. This can be used to print promo postcards or posters, buy ads on social media, pay someone to install our signs, or however we as a group decide to use it.

I have some suggested roles and tasks that we can divide amongst ourselves:

  • HUB - I will volunteer to keep all maps and info stocked at my place.
  • ROUTES & SIGNS - We have a tiny group this time! Elaine Unzicker's our odd man out over in Mira Monte. Let's make sure we get people pointed her way!
  • GRAPHICS & PRODUCTION - I am just as happy to take care of this as I am to hand it off to someone else! I'm already responsible for making maps and other collateral for OSA, so if someone else would like to do this, I can get you our existing assets.
  • FLYER DISTRIBUTION. Together we can crowdsource a solid list of hotels and Meiners Oaks businesses to leave stacks of postcards or to tape up posters, but someone will need to actually do the task or we can decide how to share responsibility.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA - If any of you are not on Facebook or Instagram and want to be, LET ME KNOW. I can help set you up and can give you tips on how we can amplify each other. Sandra Torres is already doing an excellent job with Instagram and Facebook for the group. If you tag #theojaistudioartists on your Instagram feeds and Stories, she can easily share them to the main OSA account.
  • PR - Coordinate with main OSA publicity to make sure we are in all other local media outlets.
  • OSA BLOG - Don't forget to blog on the OSA site and to share your posts to social media!
  • PERSONAL WEBSITE - If you need a website or want to update your website, LET ME KNOW. I will always give a discount to fellow OSA members. Sorry, my freelance days are over!
