Bio Sketch

I am a clinical assistant professor in the Institute for Insight at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Before joining Georgia State, I was an assistant professor and John T. Beresford Endowed Chair in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Central Oklahoma. My primary research focus lies in machine learning and data science, with a specific emphasis on network science. I am particularly interested in utilizing topological data analysis (TDA) tools to address challenges in network matching and influence maximization problems and their applications in social, biological, and business networks. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University, under the supervision of Eriko Hironaka. I received my MS in 2011 from the Department of Mathematics at the Bilkent University working with Alex Degtyarev.
