Mechanical Design Studio is developed and operated by Mirza Pasic (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Mechanical Design Studio is designed as a local-first mechanical engineering and 3D design application. We respect your privacy and have designed the app to operate without requiring a user account, advertising, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated cloud storage.
Mechanical Design Studio does not directly collect personal information through the app.
The app does not:
Require account registration or sign-in
Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
Collect location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
Use advertising SDKs
Use third-party analytics SDKs
Track users across apps or websites
Create advertising profiles
Upload project files to developer-operated servers
Store payment card information
Mechanical Design Studio stores projects and related engineering data locally on your device.
Local data may include:
Mechanical design projects
Components and custom parts
Free Draw profiles and cutouts
Imported STL, OBJ, USDZ, STEP, and STP models
Project thumbnails
Parameters and measurements
Layers, materials, and component properties
Autosave and recovery information
Saved project versions
Application preferences
Free feature usage counters
Files are accessed only when you select them using Apple’s system file picker. Files are created or written only when you save, export, or share them.
Mechanical Design Studio does not automatically upload your projects or imported models to the Developer.
Project data, app settings, saved components, and recovery information are stored in the app’s local storage or in a location selected by you.
Your operating system or a storage provider selected by you may back up or synchronize files according to your device settings. For example, a file saved in iCloud Drive may be processed and synchronized by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
Mechanical Design Studio does not currently provide its own cloud synchronization service.
Mechanical Design Studio allows you to export or share project files, 3D models, drawings, and Bills of Materials.
Data leaves the app only when you choose to:
Save a file to a selected location
Export a project or model
Share a file using Apple’s system sharing interface
Store a file with a third-party storage provider
Once you share or save a file with another service or person, that recipient’s privacy practices apply. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to import, use, export, and share your files and designs.
Mechanical Design Studio offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.
Purchases are processed by Apple using StoreKit. The app may receive:
Subscription product information
Purchase status
Verified entitlement status
Renewal, expiration, refund, or revocation status
Mechanical Design Studio does not receive or store your complete payment card number, banking information, or Apple Account password.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your Apple Account settings.
Mechanical Design Studio does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Apple may independently collect App Store transaction information, aggregated usage information, crash reports, or diagnostic information according to your Apple device settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
The Developer may receive aggregated App Store sales and performance reports or diagnostic reports made available by Apple. These reports are not used to track users across apps or websites and do not include the contents of your mechanical design projects.
If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as:
Your name
Your email address
The contents of your message
Screenshots, project files, or diagnostic information you choose to send
This information is used only to respond to your request, investigate problems, improve the app, or comply with legal obligations.
Do not send confidential engineering files unless they are necessary for your support request and you are authorized to share them.
Support communications are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or meet legal requirements.
Local app data remains on your device until it is:
Replaced by newer autosave data
Deleted within the app
Removed using Finder or the Files app
Removed when the app is deleted
Removed through your device storage settings
Exported files remain in the location where you saved them and must be deleted from that location separately.
Because the Developer does not maintain a server copy of your projects, we cannot access, restore, or delete project files stored only on your device.
If you contacted support, you may request deletion of your support communication by contacting us using the details below, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Mechanical Design Studio uses Apple platform security features, including application sandboxing and system document pickers, to limit access to your files.
However, no device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should maintain independent backups of important engineering projects and avoid sharing confidential designs with unauthorized persons.
Mechanical Design Studio should not be treated as the sole storage location for safety-critical or commercially important engineering work.
Mechanical Design Studio is a professional engineering and design tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through a support communication, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Mechanical Design Studio may be available in multiple countries and regions.
The app’s project data remains on your device or in a storage location selected by you. Support communications may be processed in the country where the Developer or the selected email service provider operates.
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information you provide through support communications, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion.
Mechanical Design Studio relies on Apple platform services for app distribution, purchases, subscription verification, file selection, sharing, and optional device backups.
These services are operated by Apple and are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
The app does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s functionality, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or its App Store product page when appropriate.
