At the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, I lead a team of epidemiologists, analysts, and communicators who modernize data infrastructure, conduct analysis, translate findings for broad audiences, and build tools to support public health decision-making. Our work spans everything from vital statistics to chronic disease surveillance to health equity monitoring. We partner across city agencies, academic institutions, and community organizations to ensure that public health data are not just available, but also meaningful, timely, and actionable. We focus on making public health data more useful, more understandable, and more impactful.
I care about:
– Tracking and understanding health patterns across the city
– Making public health data easier to use and easier to trust
– Building better data systems and smarter infrastructure
– Mentoring and supporting colleagues to strengthen the public health workforce
– Turning complex numbers into stories people can actually use
I trained as a demographer and policy researcher, with a PhD in Public Affairs and Demography from Princeton. That foundation shapes how I think about population health, data equity, and how public systems can better serve communities.
