MegaCore Privacy Policy
App: MegaCore
Package name: com.bgappsch.megacore
Developer: BG APPS CH
Last updated: 10 September 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
MegaCore has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. It does not upload your game files, your saves or anything else. The only data that leaves your device is what the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects in order to show ads, and only after you have been asked for consent.
WHAT MEGACORE STORES ON YOUR DEVICE
All of this stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Your game library. The names, sizes and internal titles of files in the folder you chose, so the library list can be shown without rescanning every time.
Save states and battery saves. Kept in the app's private storage and keyed to the contents of each game file, so renaming or moving a file does not lose its saves.
Your settings. Control layout positions, button mapping, scaling and orientation preferences.
MegaCore reads game files only from the folder you explicitly grant access to, and only in order to run them. It never copies, uploads or transmits them.
WHAT MEGACORE DOES NOT DO
It does not include, search for, or download any game files or BIOS files.
It does not create an account or ask for any personal information.
It does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location or messages.
It has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
ADVERTISING
MegaCore is free and supported by advertising through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show ads, Google may process your device's advertising ID and related technical information. This is used for advertising and measurement.
Before any ad is requested, MegaCore shows Google's consent form where required, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. You can change that choice at any time from About, then Advertising preferences, inside the app.
Google's own handling of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
You can reset or delete your advertising ID from your device's Android settings under Privacy, then Ads.
CHILDREN
MegaCore is not directed at children under 13.
PERMISSIONS
Internet. Used only to request ads.
Access to the folder you choose. Granted by you through Android's own folder picker, read-only, and revocable at any time from Android settings. MegaCore requests no broad storage permission.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the last updated date above changes with it.
