Welcome to MedVials, a mobile application developed to assist healthcare professionals with medication preparation, including vial label scanning, dilution calculations, and dose conversions. We value your privacy and strive to be transparent about how information is (or is not) collected and used.
By default, MedVials does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Specifically:
We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
We do not collect names, emails, or other personal identifiers.
We do not track your location.
We do not upload images, medical information, or calculations to external servers.
All core processing happens locally on your device.
2. Optional Analytics (Opt-In Only)
MedVials includes optional usage analytics to help us improve the app experience. This is disabled by default, and you must explicitly enable it via the Settings screen.
If enabled:
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated data on how features like vial saving, dilution, and dose conversion are used.
No personal or health information is ever collected, stored, or shared.
No identifiers are linked to individual users.
Analytics data is used solely to prioritize feature improvements and ensure app quality.
You may enable or disable analytics at any time within the app settings. If analytics is disabled, no data is collected.
MedVials requests access to your device’s camera and photo library to:
Take photos of medication vials for label recognition.
Select sample images for demonstration or testing.
This access is only used within the app. No photos or image data are transmitted to external servers. You can manage or revoke camera and photo access at any time through your device settings.
All subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled securely through Apple’s App Store infrastructure. MedVials does not have access to your payment information or Apple ID credentials. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
MedVials does not retain any user data on external servers. Any photos or calculation results you save are stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time using your device’s file management tools or within the app.
MedVials uses Firebase Analytics, a third-party service provided by Google, only if you explicitly enable analytics. This service is configured to:
Collect usage data anonymously.
Avoid ad tracking or ad personalization.
Not use device identifiers such as IDFA.
MedVials does not use any third-party advertising services or ad networks. The app is designed for offline use and functions without an internet connection.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in app functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be posted in this section, and your continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.
