Privacy Policy — Medkit: AI Patient Simulator
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Medkit ("the app", "we", "us") is an educational medical-training simulator. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. The "patients" in the app are fictional AI characters; the app is not intended for real clinical use and does not process real patient records.
1. Information we collect
Account information: when you create an account we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password.
Usage data: your training history, including which cases you completed, your scores, and diagnosis outcomes.
Content you enter: the messages you type to the AI patients during a case.
Subscription data: if you purchase a subscription, purchase and entitlement status (processed by Google Play, RevenueCat, and Superwall). We do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How we use your information
To create and manage your account and sign you in.
To generate AI patient responses and voice, and to grade your performance.
To show your progress and history.
To manage subscriptions and access to paid features.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted service providers to run the app. Data may be processed by:
Supabase — authentication, database, and backend hosting.
Google (Gemini API) — to generate AI patient responses and grading. Messages you type during a case are sent for processing.
MiniMax — to convert patient responses into speech (voice).
Google Play, RevenueCat, and Superwall — to process and manage subscriptions.
These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will delete it within a reasonable period.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Children
Medkit is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
