Mediux is a media player for iPhone and iPad that lets you browse, organize, and play your own audio and video — whether the files live on your device, in your Apple Music / iPod library, in your Photos, or on a network drive (NAS).
Play your media — audio and video, with playback speed control, Picture‑in‑Picture, and external display / AirPlay support.
Organize — group your media into folders and playlists, with search and a Recently Played history.
Subtitles & captions — show subtitles from embedded tracks, sidecar files (SRT/LRC), or generate them automatically with on‑device transcription.
Music & Photos libraries — browse and play straight from your Apple Music library and your Photos videos.
Visualizer — animated music visualizers with customizable colors and particles.
Privacy‑friendly — your media stays yours; playback and transcription happen on your device.

Mediux is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Everything the app does happens on your device.
Mediux has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not operate any servers that receive your data.
Mediux plays audio and video that already exists on your device or on storage you connect (such as a local folder or a network drive). Your media files, playlists, and any transcriptions you generate stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared by the app. When you use the transcription feature, speech is converted to captions (SRT/LRC) locally using an on-device speech-recognition model. No audio, text, or transcript ever leaves your device or is sent to us or any third party.
Mediux only asks for access needed to play your own content:
- Media & Apple Music Library — to browse and play music already on your device. Mediux reads this only to play it back; it is not collected or transmitted.
- Photos Library — to play videos stored in your Photos. Mediux accesses videos only for playback and does not upload, copy, or share them.
- Local Network — to reach media on network drives (NAS) you choose to connect.
- Face ID / Touch ID (optional App Lock) — handled entirely by Apple's system. Mediux never sees or stores your biometric data.
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Optional in-app purchases (Mediux Pro) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Mediux does not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Mediux does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Mediux does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
