This event was modeled after the MisinfoDay program developed at the University of Washington Center for an Informed Public, "an annual media literacy educational event bringing together high school students, teachers and librarians to learn how to navigate complex information environments and make informed decisions about what to believe online;" aligned to the curriculum modules from the Media Literacy Collaborative (UC Irvine and UC Santa Cruz): describing the media world and your role in it, responsible consumption, civically-conscious curation, and civically-active production; and adapted with experiential play-based learning activities for media literacy skills to critically analyze stories presented by the media on any platform and determine their accuracy or credibility.
